Team headshots
where everyone
looks like a team—
and not a collage.
For ten or more we set up a full studio in your meeting room. Same lighting, same direction, same look across every person, so your About page reads as a team.
Built for teams of three to three hundred.
The hardest part of team headshots is consistency. Different photographers, different lighting setups, different backgrounds across people, and the wall of headshots on your About page ends up looking like a collage of strangers.
We solve that by shooting tethered with the same setup every time, whether in our Woodstock studio or in your meeting room. Same lighting, same lens, same backdrop. Every face on your team page looks like part of one team.
On-site is straightforward. We arrive 45 minutes before the first sitting to set up. Each person spends about ten minutes with us. We're packed up and out before lunch on a typical morning.
Pricing is R750 per head in studio, or R4,500 setup plus R750 per head on-site, anywhere in Cape Town. Volume terms become more favourable for larger groups — ask for a quote when you brief us.
How a team headshot session actually works
The mechanics matter more than the marketing. Here's exactly how a session runs, depending on where we shoot.
On-site at your office. We arrive 45 minutes before the first sitting. The kit comes out of three Pelican cases — backdrop frame, two lights, modifiers, camera, laptop, screen. By the time the first person walks in, the room is already a working studio. Each person spends about ten minutes with us: hello and a brief, three or four angle and expression variations, choose two or three selects together at the screen. Next person.
In studio. Same flow, but everything is already set up when you arrive. Coffee while you wait. Most people are in and out in under fifteen minutes including a quick wardrobe check. We can comfortably run 30 to 40 people through a morning. Larger groups go across two days.
The constant in both: tethered shooting. Every frame appears on a large screen within a second. We can compare each person's portrait to the people we've already shot, so the lighting, angle, framing and crop stay identical across every face on your team page.
The whole team ends up looking like the same set, because it is.
Studio or on-site, which is right for your team
Both work. The right call depends on team size, budget, and how disruptive a half-day off can be.
| | Studio in Woodstock | On-site at your office | |---|---|---| | Cost (small group, 10) | R7,500 (10 × R750) | R12,000 (R4,500 + 10 × R750) | | Cost (medium group, 30) | R22,500 | R27,000 | | Cost (larger group, 60) | Volume terms apply | Volume terms apply | | Best for | Small teams, exec groups, anyone who likes a tidy single location | 20+ people, hard-to-pull-off-the-floor teams, conferences | | Disruption to team | Each person travels to us | Zero travel — we come to you | | Setup time | None for the team | 45 minutes before first slot | | Logistics | Simple | Slightly more — door codes, parking, room booking |
A useful pattern: shoot the execs in studio (so we have time to dial in their portraits) and the rest of the team on-site. The setup is identical, so the look matches.

What we need from your office for an on-site shoot
Sending this ahead of time keeps the day smooth.
- A 4 by 4 metre space, ideally with one wall clear. A meeting room with the table pushed to the side works perfectly. A wide corridor doesn't.
- A power outlet within reach. We don't run noisy generators or lay cables across walkways.
- Door codes, parking, the name of the receptionist or floor manager, lift access if needed.
- A quiet area for wardrobe checks and waiting. Doesn't need to be big.
- A schedule. We can supply a template — 10 to 15 minute slots, names, room locations — and you populate it.
- Someone on your side designated as the day-of contact, in case the schedule needs to flex.
That's it. We don't need backdrops, lighting, makeup areas, or special floors. Everything else comes with us.
Scheduling 50 to 80 people across a couple of days
For teams in the 50 to 80 range — which is the majority of our larger team work — we recommend splitting across two half-days, or one full day plus a half-day a week later for stragglers.
Why split it. Energy fades. By the time you've had eight people in front of a camera in a row, the photographer's eye gets tired and the directing gets slightly less sharp. Splitting the work means everyone in the team gets the same level of attention.
Why a half-day a week later for stragglers. There are always two or three people who couldn't be there — sick, on leave, in a client meeting that ran long. A short follow-up session at the end of the week catches them, and we can use the same setup so they look like part of the original team.
For genuine emergencies (someone joins next month, an exec's photo is needed for a conference next week), we keep your team's studio profile on file. Book a 30-minute slot at our studio and we match the look exactly.

Handling latecomers, new joiners and remote staff
Teams change. People are hired, people leave, people transfer in from another office. The annoying scenario is when your About page slowly degrades as the new joiners' DIY photos sit alongside the team shoot from two years ago.
What we do about it. Every team we work with gets a "studio profile" stored on file — the exact lighting setup, lens, sensor settings, backdrop, eye-line height. Any new joiner can come in for a 30-minute session and walk away with portraits that drop straight in next to everyone else's. Standard pricing applies; no consistency surcharge.
For remote staff who only fly in occasionally, the same approach works. Book the next time they're in town. We've done this for teams whose Cape Town and Joburg legs were a year apart and the wall of faces still reads as one set.
Industries we shoot teams for
The work splits roughly into four sectors:
Renewable energy. Our largest team-shoot client base. Project teams, executive committees, full-staff portraits for annual reports, conference speaker portraits. Often a recurring annual brief.
Financial and legal services. Firm-wide partner shoots and partner refreshes for the website. Usually in studio, though we'll come on-site for larger firms where pulling everyone out of the office is impractical.
Management consulting. New-team shoots when an office reaches a certain size, or a refresh ahead of a website redesign. A lot of "we just hired four senior consultants and the website now looks weird" calls.
Healthcare. Group practices, clinics with multiple specialists, hospital department teams. The brief is usually approachable but credible — patients are choosing partly on the photo.
There's also a steady stream of agency, tech, and professional services teams that don't sit cleanly in any of those buckets. The constant across all of them is the same: people show up on the day, we work efficiently, the team comes off the day with portraits that look like they were taken by the same photographer with the same setup. Because they were.
Transparent pricing, no surprises.
